Apology

Dear Readers,
I am SO sorry for not putting new posts up for almost a month now. It's super hard for me to find time when I'm working, but our computer is NOT working right now, so I have not been able to update with any new pictures. Hopefully I can use a family member's computer this week and update pictures of my beautiful baby!

I'll try to put a 10 month post up tomorrow since it's her 10 month birthday. She is truly the light of our lives and the funniest and sweetest baby ever! I just love her!

We love you all and hope you have a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving. We are thankful for our family and friends, and especially our sweet nugget. God has been so good to us this year, and we will be forever thankful.

We love you, and I will try to post soon.
Katie

Pumpkin

I know...totally predictable....Annie is a PUMPKIN for Halloween! I was going to be original and have her be a peacock, but seriously people....a pumpkin is the cutest thing ever for your first Halloween. I remember when Natalie used to run after me and Christie in her pumpkin costume and white keds yelling for us to wait on her. It was fabulous.

Well, Annie went to Trunk or Treat at church this weekend in her pumpkin costume and white keds. She didn't run after people yelling at them to wait, but I'm sure that will be here before you know it. She looked adorable and had a great time. Getting dressed in the church kitchen. This is seriously the only time she messed with her headpiece. I can't believe it didn't drive her crazy! Annie and DaddyAnnie and Mommy Annie checking out her friend Ava! Adorable! :)There are those white keds!Zoe and Caitlin (Zoe made her costume....it was fabulous!) and me and Annie (I bought Annie's costume...I wish I could make it, but yea right!)Annie and Caitlin checking each other out.Annie smiling at her best friend. I love this one!Drunk baby face. We had a great time!
I can't wait until Saturday when we get to go roam the neighborhood with other little ones and pass out candy. I love Halloween!

Nastiest Houseguests EVER!

**Update: We caught the 2nd opossum and it looked exactly like this one, but a tiny bit smaller. So, we have caught 2 opossums...wait...we've actually caught THREE! After we caught the 2nd one, the next day David had to release it and set the trap for the mother opossum in the attic. We got her last night. Hopefully there will not be anymore noise in the attic tonight. If so, I might have to hurt myself! **

No, our family did not stay with us this weekend. Hehe. Just kidding. No really, they didn't.

Our houseguest this weekend was THIS:
Yes, that's right people...it's an opossum! GROSS!! David and I heard something rustling around in our attic a few weeks ago. David went up and saw a squirrel. He couldn't find the hole that it got in, but it was out that same day. We hadn't heard anything in a while. Well, last weekend, David was fixing a spot on our gutters and found the hole. When he went to look in it, there was an opossum head sleeping in the hole! EW!! Well, this weekend, we set a trap and caught the nasty little thing on Saturday night. David skipped church and patched the hole on Sunday and it looks GREAT! I am so proud of him.
Well...last night at dinner, guess what we heard rustling around upstairs again? Most likely, another opossum! UGH! This time though, it's trapped. I hardly slept last night because that thing was roaming around the ceiling of my house. David has set another trap and we hope to catch it in our attic tonight. If we don't, my parents might be getting some super cute houseguests this week. :)

Pumpkin Patch

Ever since we found out we were pregnant, I have dreamed about taking Annie to the pumpkin patch. Well, this weekend....we finally got to do it. It was absolutely beautiful and it was David's birthday weekend, so it turned out to be perfect timing. I L-O-V-E pumpkins, and I loved putting Annie in the middle of them!
We went to Owen's farm and had so much fun! It's $7 to get in, but that includes a hot dog (which we totally didn't know about), food to feed the goats, and a hayride. Annie loved looking at all the animals and sitting in all the pumpkins. It was so much fun! I loved being outside with her in such fabulous weather. (It feels like it has rained for the last month around here.) It was so cute to see her little spunky personality as we walked around. We will definitely make this a tradition each year. Next year, we will take a picnic and just make a whole day of it. If you haven't been to Owen's farm, you really should go. It's so fun!

Here are a few pictures of our fun day:
The punkin on some pumpkins.
Hmmm...what should I do next! (Check out her hands....this is a common occurence now.)
Excuse me! I am hanging out with daddy!

On the hayride.

Annie chattin' it up with Gramps.
We had a great time! I can't wait to go back next year!
Friday was David's birthday! We had such a fun time celebrating all weekend. This man is truly the most wonderful husband and father! Annie adores him, and I think he's pretty fabulous too. David, we love you more than words can say, and we hope you had a wonderful birthday weekend. We love you! Love, Katie and Annie

Teeth

I am SO late in adding a post about all the stuff that Annie has been doing at 8 months...so, I'm going to just skip it. Eight months has been fabulous, and Annie is doing all kinds of fun stuff, but I think I will write all about it at 9 months. This working thing sure does take up alot of my time.
One thing that needs to be mentioned though, is that Annie has TEETH! It started with 2 little ones on the bottom, and then 1 on top. As of today, she has 2 bottom, 2 top, and then 2 more that are almost in on the top. We are dangerously close to 6 teeth! Yipes! I can't believe it! It's so cute to look in there and see a few teeth in the midst of her gummy smile.

Just wait until I tell you about all the changes around here in her 9 month post. Our little nugget is growing up! :)

Hat and bows

Ok...we don't really do big bows around this house. David hates them, and honestly...I've never been too fond of them either. I think they look cute on other people's kids, but I don't want Annie to be too girly. I don't want you to think that I think other people are wrong for putting their girls in tutus and princess stuff. It's adorable, and great. I'm the oldest of 4 girls though, and we just never did all that stuff. We love to shop and are girly, but just not too girly. I want to keep things that way for Annie.
Well...then, I went to Canton and found super cheap big headband bows. I couldn't help myself. I know they are a little ridiculous, but she looks so dang cute! :) I just love them. David isn't too opposed to them either. I think when you see it on that cute face...what could look bad? Nothing!!

Reunion

Here are a few pictures from David's 10 year reunion. I know it has been forever since I posted...sorry! We have just been so stinkin' busy. I will do a few posts today, and then a couple more later this week.

Watching the game with Daddy in my fabulous new shoes! :) She really did have a good time. She made it close to half time. Hehe. Grandma and Grandpa came and got her then though. It was a fun night!
