Halloween

I'm super sorry that I'm so far behind on posts. We've just had so much going on that blogging has fallen to the bottom of my list. Sorry folks! :) Hopefully I'll be able to catch up this week and then do it more regularly. (Don't hold your breath though. Ha!)

Anyway--we loved Halloween this year. Annie is at such a fun age, and she just loved it. We started by going to "Highland's Harvest." It's our church's trunk or treat. Annie loved the bounce houses, petting zoo, riding a pony, and playing the games. She had a really great time seeing all her friends too.

The next week, we trick-or-treated in our neighborhood. This was really our first time to do it. The first year, Annie was super small and had no idea what was going on. Then, last year, I was sick so we didn't do anything. So, this year was a big year. Annie and Charlotte got dressed right after dinner and we headed out. We walked around for about 30 minutes before Charlotte completely lost it and was ready to come home. Annie LOVED coming home and going through all her candy. She has talked about her candy everyday since and loves taking it out and looking at it or giving a piece to all her stuffed animals. It has been so fun watching her get excited about everything.

David never trick-or-treated growing up, so this is all a new experience for him. With Annie being so easily scared, I think we both worried about her walking around the neighborhood and then having bad dreams when we got home. I am SO happy to say that she didn't get spooked by anything outside, and we haven't had a bad dream since. Woo-hoo! I think my little Tinkerbelle and pumpkin were the cutest kids out there.

(Ps-these pictures are totally out of order. Oops!)

Annie feeding a goat in the petting zoo. A total normal activity for most kids, but something that Annie would usually be too scared to do. So proud of my big girl! :)

Two little Tinkerbells (and best friends).

Caitlyn and Annie hugging goodnight So sweet!

Another big experience for Annie. She walked to the top with Cassidy and went down ALL BY HERSELF. I did have to go up with her, but only to help her get to the top. She watched Cassidy go down, and then before I could say anything to her, she just jumped down. I was so proud!

Our family of 4!

Annie walking with one of favorite people....Cassidy. (By the way, Cassidy was the flower girl in our wedding. That makes us super old! Hehe)
The cutest little pumpkin.

One of Annie's favorite places that night....the bounce house.

Annie and Caden in the petting zoo.

Riding a pony...another new experience that we weren't too scared to try! Woo-hoo!

I love this one!
