The State Fair of Texas

For those of you reading this blog that have never been to the State Fair of Texas (yes, I am referring to my Pennsylvania relatives who SERIOUSLY need to come down to Texas for a visit with my 2 sweet girls), it is a truly fabulous place! I don't care what we've got going on in our lives....there will be at least one visit to the fair each year. This year we managed to fit 2 visits into one week. It was lovely! :)

The first day we went was a Wednesday, and my mom (Dee) took the day off to go with us. We rode the train and had an absolutely fabulous time! I'll include a bunch of pictures so you can see all the fun things we did. Annie's absolute favorite thing to do is to see all the animals. They happened to be having a cattle show when we were there, and she could have literally sat there all day. It was precious. She loves cows! :) We also got to go to the Midway for the first time ever. Annie rode her first ride without me, and LOVED it! Then, we went down the huge slide together. She is a little bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to most things, but it was a big day, and she loved every minute of everything we did. After the slide, we went and got some ice cream and then walked through the cars on our way out. The girls were great and had such a fun time. It was a pretty perfect day.

We went to the fair with Daddy on Friday and had a great time too. It was a little painful trying to get through the midway on a Friday night in the dark right before bedtime. The girls did great, but I REALLY wanted a double stroller about then! :) We had a great time enjoying the animals, rides, and food. I seriously love the fair!

Annie liked sitting in the cars. :)

I love this picture of her sweet little head. Ha!

Enjoying some chocolate ice cream. (Mommy and Dee had the Pineapple, which is my ABSOLUTE favorite!)

Both the girls waiting on their ice cream. (I know Charlotte isn't supposed to have any, but she may have gotten a few licks of the pineapple ice cream. She wasn't too impressed.)

Annie riding in the purple car. She rode this on Wednesday, and then again on Friday. I was so proud of her for doing it all by herself!

This is right before we went into the Midway. Cutest thing ever! :)

Sweet Charlotte taking a nap.

Me and my girls waiting for the train. (We missed it by like 30 seconds...ugh! Oh well. We just sat around in the cold. No big deal!)

Seriously, have you seen anything cuter?!

Dee and Annie at the station
Charlotte and her tongue. We see this face all the time, and I think it is so stinkin' adorable! :)

  1. I might like the Texas fair, but I LOVE your blog and keeping up with the "Texas" family.
There is a chance I will come down early in
December for the baseball winter meetings. I will let you know. Uncle Chuck
